I have been testing these since getting them last week, and am having some inconsistent problems with them:
D2A/DMS/D2B:
Flawless
D2C:
Flawless
D2C2:
-dead drive on some installs
-drive will read originals but not backups
-works fine on some but not on others, same chip that fails on these work on other chipsets
-tried with jumpers shorted and unshorted in different combinations, same results
-tried numerous chips, either dead drive or will not read backups, points are okay and other chips work, just this one does not
Looks like there are d2c2 problems on some drives right now. It worked on some I did previously.
I have spoken to the Wiizard team, and so far been unable to fix this. They have advised the jtag wiring is not ready so the mods cannot be fully upgraded, but that future batches will be running a revised code fixing errors - they are looking into this problem now. I will update once more is known.
UPDATE:
The Wiizard team is offering to exchange chips as old ones will not work with all d2c2 drives. All future batches will apparently work with all Wii's, and d2e support is pending as well, but not yet ready.
Ordering and communication is fine, just seems d2c2 drives are having issues. I had a few work fine, and all non-d2c2 work flawlessly, just some chips are having d2c2 problems. I have been told a firmware update will correct this, so installers can install chips on working drives, update, then move it over. Kinda a pain, but at least until they ship and work flawlessly this will suffice.
Seems to be on about half of the d2c2 I have gotten so far, but works great on all others. A solution is expected soon, and new chips will apparently ship with the fixed firmware.
I also had problems with two D2C2 drives.
Contacted Wiizardmod support ( for their quick response) and they suggested to solder longer wire (7-8cm) to CK. On one Wii 15cm wire worked. On the other one I couldnt get stable booting no mather how long the wire.
They are working on this issue - fix could be done today.
I'd be suprised if a fix comes early, seems like it's the D2Pro9 V2 bug from hell. Whichever team releases the fix first though will get a butt-load of more order's though over the other competitors.
