Default Wii Classic Controller -> GC (it CAN be done)

So I started tinkering with the Wii Classic Controller. It seems that its a fairly simple device (almost identical to the way the GC controller works).
The biggest detatchment is its attachment (funny huh).
Since the classic controller plugs into the wiimote, it simply is telling the wiimote "hey, send this data" over the bluetooth connection.

So.... All I need to do is interpret the clk usage and build a IC based translator. Then fashion it into a female wii port -> male GC port adapter.

Don't expect any quick results as this project is on the bottom of my priority list. But never the less I really want to get this accomplished. I love this controller.

I think this sounds great.

I was curious if an adapter can be made from the connector to blue tooth. That way the classic controller can be wireless.

It already is, you just plug it into the bottom of the Wiimote.

the classic controller doesn't have rumble. has the cable coming out facing you and only works with virtual console games. why would you want to buy 1. i'll never know

Default Here it is.

It is still in development, but it works at least with one (my own:) Wii, one Classic Controller, one Nunchuk (useless, but funny:), one game (mario kart double dash) and three different PICs (12F629, 16F628, 16F88 are tested) running at 20MHz.

Easy, to play SNES games on Virtual Console. The GC controller does not work well for certain SNES games because the buttons are mapped oddly. The most important example is Super Mario World, one of the few must get virtual console games. Unless you have a chipped wii, this is really the only way to play it.

A classic to GC adapter would be awesome, especially wireless, because it could be used with GC homebrew. It'd make the emulators more comfortable. There's something unsettling about playing Punch Out (or any other game) with a GC controller.

Added alternative nunchuk support scheme (joystick as D-pad, X/Y accelerations - as joystick). For sources and .hex - see link above.
