Default Problem with the last LED (yellow) light not working

So I got the led 0603 and put them on my wiimote and worked great as expected.
I did a second one and hte last led no longer works. Whipped out the multimeter and tested the solder pads (after I cleared them of solder) and pushed the sync button (which throws all 4 leds into a blinking pattern for about 30 seconds) and there is no juice hittiing the solder pads.
I traced the bottom pad to the little resister next to it and tested from there, no go.
I traced the top pad to a little copper punch through thingy(dont know the technical name) and no juice from there either.
Now I am dam good with soldering so i know what I'm doing and am using low powersoldering irons.

I use 2 at a time to remove the old led's.

Now I thought this was a freak occurance and gave up moving to the my wiimote which went AWSOME.

Then onto the fourth Wiimote.
BANG, exact same problems, I have checked the polarity of the led's many times and have even put hte original led's back on with NO sucess.

Anyone have any ideas?

PS my camera took a little impact so its out of commision ATM

Ithink all 4 leds only flash when the battery is full. Could that be the problem?

Yup,

Confirmed, One started only working with 3 led's on the sync, switched out to fresh batteries and viola all 4 led's light up. I feel kinda stupid but not really cuz who would have thought the sync was also a battery indicator!
Well I guess it was Garth! Thanks again guys for your help and input.
I'll be modding the rest of these wiimotes now with confidence!
