Certainly looks interesting, but I'd be worried about stability...

EDIT: Also, how the hell is the wiikey meant to get power and ground in this setup?

That looks pretty stupid to me. Soldering a Wiikey to a clip-on piece of crap defeats the whole purpose. Might as well just solder to the Wii and save yourself the money.

You would be surprised to learn how many people got a 2 year warranty on their console, and want to 'not void the warranty'

Another 'feature' (mainly for people like myself) is that you can swap between different chips quite easily (you just need a clip for each one).

Makes testing/fixing of peoples consoles much easier.

There's also people like me who don't have the soldering skills to solder the wii. I already damaged a couple of pads on the wii. I won't risk breaking the chipset too. Soldering to the clip looks a lot easier. It could also be more easily brought to someone to solder for you, without having to bring your whole wii. basically, using a product like this means you can only break the chip or the clip and your wii will remain safe.

If it looks like there's any tempering by soldering chips to your drive they will charge you if you send it to Nintendo. (very obvious if you lift a pad)
You can't really tell if the console has been just opened.

It may be 'void' - but that needs to be proved. If you a very careful with taking it apart and putting it back together - then no-one will ever know.
