Default Wii-Clip V3 with Wiikey Original 1.9S

Hi guys,

I just received my wiiclip pre-soldered from a distributor in Canada. I've verifed that it's the real thing and I can see their banner right above where I am typing

Anyways, when I installed the wiiclip the dvd drive wouldn't load or eject. When I took it off it works normally. So I put in the back up, turn it off, re-install the wiiclip it tells me that the disk is unreadable. I made sure the all corners were fit and snug but no luck.

I took off the wiiclip with caution using a sharp exacto-knife with even pressure on all sides to remove but the last time I removed it bent couple of the pins inside and actually broke one of them.

I am planning on sending it back and purchasing a new one (since I did damage the wiiclip) and having them resolder again but I am afraid that it will not work again.

I did verify that I have the D2B with no cut pins or missing pads. Am I doing something wrong here? Any help would be greatly appreciate.

quote me on this, but if you have a d2b and you purchased a wiikey with clip why didn't you just solder the wiikey to the board it doesn't require any controller pins, and simple to install without the clip

Wow, not a single helping word but a ignorant comment. So everyone in this world should know how to solder things? I'm sorry but I don't and never had tried it. What may be simple to you may be hard for others. Don't be rude with comments like that.

Do you know how to install coil overs on a car? Do you know how to install turbos on a car? It's so simple isn't it? C'mon man, we're not tinkering with a $20.00 electronic device that you can just toss away when something goes wrong. I don't know how spoiled you are but Wii costing mid $200s, that's a lot of money to me. If I do something wrong then the Wii is nothing but a white brick.

If you don't feel like posting helpful advices at least don't be rude.

for one i wasn't being rude, if you think that was a smart arse comment, if youdon't know how to solder then send it to a professional, atleast this way if anything goes wrong its still under warrenty

and for 2 iam a full time mechanic, if you complain about how expensive a wii console is then i suggest you shouldn't be opening your own console up in the first place.
