Default N64 Emulation update?

Any news on the N64 emulator for game cube? I believe it was Wii64? Are they moving to Wii via Trucah or staying with GCN mode? Are they still working on it at all?

Please move to Wii64 section, just noticed it under Emulation.

tehpola (lead coder for mupen64gc) posted on tehskeen that a new public version should be available in a couple weeks.

I would assume if they are calling it Wii64 it would run in Wii mode.

There is also the Twilight Hack that could probably be used too.

you should add online capabilities so we can play ssb64 online and perfect dark online etc
it would be sick if project64K got ported to the wii coz that already has online for all n64 games

it would not actually be possible to just create an emulator that takes all the N64 games that have multiplayer and turn them into online games. that would require modification of the actual game itself, which aside from being TOTALLY illegal in every manor, would be pretty difficult. so don't hope for that, or request it.

Uh. It's been done.
It's just an emulator.
No modification of the games.
Turns any multiplayer game into an online one.

Project64k.
It's simply a fork of the Project64 project.
Check it out.
