Hi Donkhe,

I have a Wii on 4.0E, with HBC already installed last week (bannerbomb). I followed your guide to complete the process & at at step 8a I get:
[+]Initializing libfat, please wait...OK!
[+]CIOS249 not found!
>> Now trying to install cios249, press A button to continue.
>> Otherwise, press B button to restart your Wii.
[+] Installing IOS16, please wait...
>> Installing title... ERROR! (ret = -1035)
Press any button to restart...

That's it, can't go any further... any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,

i already have a original wiikey installed on my old wii
i'm thinking of adding homebrew to it using this guide, so i could save the dvd lens and use the usb loader to play the games,

however i wonder if its possible to remove all of the homebrew and update the wii normally later in case that i need it, or will a update simply erase it without bricking it?

it's a pal wii and i only backup pal games

@yabel: if you have homebrew Channel installed on 3.2 and want to upgrade to 4.0 just make sure that you have cIOS installed before the upgrade. I would also install IOS60 (step 10 in your post) before the upgrade. Then upgrade online to 4.0. That's it. If you have Preloader installed you probably have to reinstall it.

@jokzor: I am not sure you can remove all homebrew again, but don't worry you will not brick your Wii if you update. The worst that can happen with a future update from Nintendo is that your homebrew will be removed or stop working.

Still not being able to show the picture....

More importantly, can I play PAL game via USB or DVD channel? I read somewhere that playing PAL game may crash WII...

Thanks!

Hi, this guide is great and I have been using it on my son's wii for a while. More recent games such as ghost busters and my sims racing are not working. They just come up green screen. Is there likely to be a new version of this kit coming out. I just burn the games and play them from disk.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Default Need Help!! Downgrade IOS35 problem

I was softmodding a Wii with 4.0U following the guide: On step 7.d Downgrade IOS35 (run first) and press A. It begins to download something from the web. After reading download of block (9/15) got a black screen:
----------------------------------------------
Exception (DSI) ocurred!

and a lot of numbers...
-------------------------------------------------
The process stopped.

I´ve tried to do the process again and I get the following message:
---------------------------------------------
E.....
Failed to add title. Maybe you already ran this?
------------------------------------------------------
Then it dissapears then go back to first loadMii screen.

How can i pass the step and follow the other.

thanks
