Default Best modchip for Korean Wii to convert to USA?

I have a Korean Wii. I just ordered the tri-wing screwdriver and it'll probably take 1-2 weeks to get it, so I can't open my Wii right now.
My objective with this Wii is to convert it to a USA version. There are tutorials online for this, and all say a mod chip is a prerequisite.
I would really like to go ahead and order a mod chip now to save time. I couldn't find any Korean Wii's on the wiidrives.com site. Does anyone know which DVD chip is most likely to be in a Korean Wii?
I am thinking the Wiikey 2 is the most popular and $5 cheaper than the Wasabi Zero. Is there any compelling reason to choose one over the other? I saw the Wasabi Zero has dip switches while Wiikey 2 does not. Will the Wasabi's ability to manually set region be of any benefit in a Korean to USA region change?

It looks like most mod chips can suffer an eject problem. I've gone into the sub-forums for several different mod chips and see this mentioned in all. On the stickied mod chip FAQ, it seems to imply some chips like D2Sun don't suffer this problem, but some posts in the sub-forum seem to contradict this. I'm curious about this eject problem, it's that a Wii won't accept a new disc after the previous one has been ejected unless the Wii is powered off and back on. Will a soft-off suffice with the power switch? Would pressing RESET work as well? Or is a hard-power off by unplugging the only way to get it to accept a new disc?

You have 2 option:
1. Use a modchip and for all non working import game (about 30%) use GeckoOS.
2. Use AnyRegionChanger to convert your wii to USA region.

If it's new then it's likely a d2e maybe with epoxy. Anyway all modchips on the market support all drives.

Personally I prefer D2Sun chips. Anyway they all work the same way.
For D2sun and Wasabi you need to set the dip switched according to your console region (Korea).
For wiikey2 you need to insert a Korean game to enable regione free.

All 6 wire modchips have eject issue on some drive. When it happens you need to switch off the console.

I plan to use option #2 since I have no reason to change back to Korean or run Korean games.

Yeah, I bought it from a private seller, but he got it brand new. From what I read, Korea didn't get the Wii until Spring '08 and it has 3.3K firmware installed, so it's probably pretty new.

Any reason you prefer D2Sun over the others? I just mentioned Wiikey2 and Wasabi Zero as they are really easy to find, almost every place that sells mod chips online has them.
AH, I don't have any Korean game to put into it. So in this case, I DO want one with DIP switches, correct? That way, I don't need a Korean game to enable region free, right? This is probably the most important issue, because I don't live in Korea so getting ahold of a legal Korean game might be really difficult.

Switch off with the power button, NOT needing to unplug from the outlet?
A 9-wire won't have this issue? I don't mind at all to solder 3 more wires.
