Default Region Free gaming Chip

Hi There,

I have a client whos been using the D2PRO 9 wire along with a Wii Clip for chipping quite a lot of consoles in the past few months.

Recently, he's had a few customers come back and say that they can't play any games from other regions at all. He's followed the instructions on the D2PRO site, where it says you have to insert an original game for the first time from the same region.

Is there a better chip than the D2PRO for allowing all region games to play?

Regards
Lewis

All modchips provide the same partial region free support (about 70%).
GeckoOS works great when the modchip fails.

Agreed, I used to have a d2pro and never had any issue with import games, the usuals ones would black screen but as dave says, run them through Gecko, should be fine.

As for using wii clips to be installs for customers, not good man, this certainly won't help your problem. Soldering is the best method by far

I agree with Roy, on both subjects. I have a D2Pro9 V3 and it has never let me down. Now I try to use as many NTSC as possible, (That's My Region) but when a PAL version is the only one I can find, I guess I have no other choice! I honestly have no PAL games so I can't give me input on how they load.

As for Wii-Clip installs, I only install Wii-Clip if the customer is ABSOLUTELY 100% sure that is what they want. I am not a a real big modder like most on this site, I have done very few Wii's and about five XBOX 360's, but I have been told I do a good job. I used a Wii-Clip in my Wii at first. It wouldn't keep connection with the chip/Wii, would only work if you put so much pressure on it, and would only work it the Wii was sitting horizontal. Finally the Wii-Clip shorted out and killed the Clip and the chip. Ordered a new D2Pro9, did a wire install, runs perfect!
