Default Wiikey VS D2Pro9 On DMS

I have a DMS chipset, and had a D2Pro9 V# installed via Wii-Clip. (Old Wii-Clip Model) The clip had a short in it and it killed the clip and the D2Pro. I am getting a new chip but not sure what to do... Here are my options...

1. D2Pro9 V3, with new V4C-9A Wii-Clip
2. D2Pro9 V3, with wire install
3. Wiikey 1, with wire install

Many people have told me to just egt Wiikey 1 because I have a DMS, but since the Wiikey 2 is out, support and updates for the Wiikey 1 won't be released as often, if not at all. I also see people have small problems with their Wiikey 1. I know that the D2Pro is a very reliable chip, but it costs a bit more.

Which should I get?

YAOSM, cheaper than all. And fun if you like making little gadgets, build a programmer yourself and program your own chips

Well considering the original wiikey is only 13 dollars I would recommend going with that option. It works great and I doubt it will require an update anytime soon.
