Unhappy HBC now upside down, very strange

Hi peeps,
Just had a really wierd thing occur.
This morning I installed the latest Bootmii, HBC and DVDx.
I then installed the latest system menu (4.2 via waninkoko's updater).
Everything seems to be fine except that when I go into the HBC, the screen is upside down . Even the pointer on the screen is reversed.

Anybody else experiencing this?
Cooperman

** Update - Fixed It ! For those experiencing the same issue, i re-installed a clean ios61 and that fixed it. Apparently, the HBC will flip upside down (intentionally) if there is not a clean ios available.

Yeah, it's a well known side effect of waninkoko's 4.2 updater.
Follow this procedure:
  1. Use Dop-IOS and install IOS30-v1040 in place of the stub version.
  2. Reinstall IOS61, the same version you already have, but DON'T apply the trucha patch.
  3. Launch the HackMii Installer 0.5 and reinstall the Homebrew Channel

Now everything will work.

Follow these instructions exactly and it works!

Hello reader

I have a problem, my friend got a wii softmodded (firmware 4.2E updated from 4.1E after a succesful softmod). After we installed 4.2E from the 4.2 installer the screen is upside down in the HomeBrew Channel. The IOS that is used by HomeBrew Channel is IOS61 v21.29 Can anybody help me fix this problem?

Are you a bit crazy or something? You quoted the answer to your own question in the question.

Default HBC finally back to normal:)

Hello,

The HBC is finally back to normal. You only need to install the older IOS of IOS61 v4890 without patching! But i was a little bit scared because its a wii from a friend of mine and i dont want to brick it. But thats always a risk when you are using an app that writes to flash. Thanks for the info mates!

Cheers

What do you mean doesn't work? What error do you get? You need to dop ios whatever ios your HBC is running on so check in HBC and dop ios that ios with no bugs on.

Try running pimpmywii. Make sure that IOS61 installs unpatched.
