Default Jap Semi brick and Region Change question

Hi

I have used BannerBomb to install on a Pal Wii fine.

I have 2 semi bricked Jap motherboards that I wish to unbrick and change the region to Pal on.

I this possible ?

I try to run the BannerBomb hack and the console freezes when you go to the channel to load the .dol file.

Is what I want to do possible ?

If so how ?

Any help appreciated,

Regards

It freezes because of the semi-brick.

You happen to know the menu version on those?

Hi

Thanks for the reply - I assumed that was the reason the softmod froze.

Not sure what revision firmware they are on, I would assume around the 3.0 mark, they have sat on my desk for a year or so.

Is there anything I can do ?

Regards

Then you could build an autoboot custom disc with a JAP update on it, use savemii to boot it and let it update the menu.

You can put 3.2J with IOS30 or even 4.0J + IOS60 on disc.

Kaesar, thanks again for the replys.

After looking around on the forum I've read that instead of using the SaveMii dongle a GC pad with all 4 direction buttons pressed will do the same, is that correct ?

I can't find any info on compiling a custom AutoBoot disc, is there a link with info ?

Sorry for all the Q's

you're right about the GC pad.

You can use WiiScrubber to remove and exchange files from the update partition

Hi Kaeser - again thanks for the reply.

Made my GC Pad / SaveMii tool.

Console shows up as 3.1J at the bottom right. So all's good there.

I'm still confused about the disc though.

From what I understand it is meant to contain a later update from the same region ?

Can this be a normal game disc or is it something I have to create.

I don't understand how I put IOS60 and the update onto a disc, I'm not even sure what IOS60 is.

Sorry to be a pain.

Then simply use the wii sports resort JAP disc

Original or with a chipped drive.

I have a customer wii that is semibricked as well. I have a GC controller, but no SD card/access to a wii sports resort jap disk.

I can use the GC trick to see that I have a 3.2J firmware
I placed an anyregion autoboot disc in drive once I see teh recovery screen. How do I get it to boot?
