Question Playing new games on 3.2E ?

So i have a 3.2E Wii with HBC on also a DriveKey mod installed... i want to play new games off disc but they fail to load (probs missing needed IOSes).

My question is if i extract update partition from disc can i install wads from it to make the game play? if so how to know which wads to install and which ones not to?

You have a chip and HBC.... just update off the discs or over wifi.

edit: don't update off the discs if they're imports

Good question Benie. I was wondering the same thing and I'm in the same boat as you.
Punch out and Tiger Woods say update and everything I've read says doing that could cause a brick.

So, it's safe then to do it from the same region disc?

As I understand it, when you upgrade to newer software (ie: from 3.2 to 4.0) you will lose your HBC. You can however just put it back. I know it can be done because I upgraded my Wii to 4.0u and then installed the HBC on it without any problems. Even running the USB Loader GX on my 4.0u console. Works a treat!
