Hi there,

I been an avid follower of these forums especially since I got my Wii back from my sister (can't play all consoles at the same time lol).

So I started to take a look at news regarding Wii hacking. Learned about Homebrew Channnel, WAD Manager, SoftMOD Updater to 4.0U by Wanikoko.

I have a first gen Wiikey chip that was updated to 1.9s. Backup games were unable to load (i.e. Punch Out) so I decide to follow the Ultimate Wii Soft-Mod Guide by yasafe.

Everything went perfectly, followed all steps carefully, trying to understand what I was doing ... Updated my console to 4.0U using Wanikoko Updater ... Played to Punch Out 1 hour later.

So the next day, I start my console on ... no internet and it can't read any discs at all (backup or original). Everything else is working fine (VC games, Wii System Menu, etc.). WiiConnect was on all the night ... I forgot to disable it.

What happened exactly ? Any of you have ideas regarding this ?

Any help would be gladly appreciated !
