HEy guys sorry to ask this question, but ive been searching around havent really found the answer,

I just bought the wii fit, it asks me to upgrade my wii, but i dont want to, i dont want to lose my homebrew, if i make a backup iso of my wii fit,use the usb load would that work toget around it or scrub it? Also if i do that will my wii find my wiifit or do i have to use a homebrew safe upgrader? to get an update to make the wiifit board to work with my sync?

I have wii-fit on my console and all the homebrew stuff works fine.
It might help that I had wii-fit on before I even found out about homebrew, I don't know.

Also, since getting the usb-loader I've found that bypasses the update requests of some of my new games, and they work fine loaded that way.

I am a complete noob though so I'm only speaking of my own experience, but to me it all looks fine

If you don't install the update on Wii Fit then you won't have the driver for the balance board installed. i.e. it the game won't work.

Similar thing for Animal Crossing in that you won't get the microphone support if you don't install that one.

It's one of the worrying things about the USB loader and it not saving the updates - some are necessary for the games to run. With Wii Fit you also don't get the Wii Fit channel installed. (With Smash brothers you don't get the VC games, with Mario Kart you miss the channel)

One option is that you could extract the neccesary wads from the update partition and manually install them before brickblocking.

HEy thanks for the info dude, yeah i dumps the wiifit iso onto my harddrive and opened up the iso took out the update didnt update and my wiifit board still works pretty happy about that :Pim sure the wiifit channel is nothing big :S and what do u mean by vc games for the ssbb? all that matters is the game working :P im going to try and fix it so i can use the mic if i ever buy it without the update to get it to work

Oh just to let u know dude my wii is at 3.1u so its not the wiifit update but i got it to work

If you install Starfall or something similar you can block updates all together so you don't have to have the ISO modified. Of course if the update is ACTUALLY needed then you won't be able to play the game without manually installing the correct IOS'.

yeah it doesnt need the update to work, yeah i can use that program but i rather just take the long way and take out the update lol :P.

Is there a way to extract the Wiitfit Channel so i can add it? and for the wiichat channel if i buy the mic will i be able to get the wad for that instead of updating it?
