Default Using wrong version of Twilight Princess game save to install hack

Ok, so I was reading around to figure out how the Twilight hack & HBC works before I try it myself. I read that the US version of the game has 2 different versions 0 & 2. So my question is, If I have one version of the game but I load up the other version of the game save hack, what happens? The readme file says that the game freezes and the hack does not work... but will it do any harm to the wii (bricking)? If it freezes, can you just reset the wii and try it all over again using the correct version of the game save hack?
Thanks.

After more searching, I think I found my answer. It just freezes, so you could restart and try again with the other game save.

yes there should be no risk. the hack itself doesn't modify anything on the wii itself, it just attempt to load the boot.elf in the root directory. if that fails, it just hangs.
