Default Internal gecko mod with HBC

ok, i did the internal gecko mod. i read that if a a GC memory card is installed then the HBC wont work. could this mod act like a GC memory card is installed? will this effect the reading of the front sd card?

i installed the hbc with the beta8.iso, but when i start the hb channel it says "SD loading" for a couple of seconds. then i see bubbles floating up and the earth icon in the lower right hand corner flashing. nothing else. what do u guys think? i tried everything to get this to work. different sd cards, different formats, and different loaders with the same result. been working on this for 2 days now.

i guess that the internal gecko does effect the HB channel. just tried it on 2 other consoles and the SD card loaded just fine. 4 people having this issue, gonna have to rip out this mod.

Many apps don't work with SDGecko, so you'll be better with it taken out and put in an adapter.

I have internal Gecko Mod too! I can't get the apps to show in HBC Beta 8, but in Beta 7 they show fine with a glitch or two here and there, but works great, so I just stuck with beta 7! I wondering about putting in a switch to enable/disable the internal gecko mod because this [u]is[u] what is interfearing with HBC Beta 8, but I don't know where to put the switch!?!?!

Usually you have to cut the Vcc line so the card doesn't power up.

Actually with cIOS's out now not a whole lot of reason to have anymore! So I just took mine out! Took about an hour or so with disassembly and reassembly, but everything is working like a charm now and I have upgraded to the Beta 8! So to all best option is just to remove it!

this makes me sad =P I came up with the internal sd card mod ages and ages ago, I thought I was brilliant! I actually still think it's floating around these forums since it's where I first posted it back on the psx scene forums... and then it got shoved into some other do it yerself walkthroughs which I was totally cool with.

Any way, I've been outta the scene for some time now, any one want to give me the quick update on where or what I should be looking for (what I do mainly is just play either DL'd-iso's burnt to DVD+R's or Rip em to my SD card (with the internal mod through DVDDUMP program from the wiikey config disk)

Is there a newer better way to do these things or other sweet homebrew?

I have done some internal GC mem cards, I wonder if that reproduces the same problem, I'll test it later on.
On mine I have an internal GC mem card, and Wavebird. With the WB I had to add a switch to disconnect 2 wires, to turn off the WB as it interferred with some games.
