is there a posibility for some sort of development in homebrew/modding from this success?

perhaps custom themes, or perhaps ability to find the encryption method?

lets hope it brings us good stuff, maby first some unbricking of wii's, real wii homebrew would be the holy grail i suppose

There are all sorts of possibilities. For one running Homebrew in Wii mode including being able to take advantage of the wireless networking, USB ports, etc...

Imagine a XBMC style application that uses wireless ...

Improved emulators (ps1, n64, etc) ...

Lots more! Go infectus!

indeed, think of the people using flamethrowers to do the 5 wire install and imagine them doing a 48 wire (did not count) install
... and the fun you will have to repair one million damaged traces...

i hope that they discover some other way to change data on the flash, perhaps via sd-card or dvd card, because I for one would never try an install like that.
