Default NEO-GEO MVS Emulator

Where can I find a NEO-GEO MVS Emulator for the Wii/GCN? Can someone make me one of these self ISO making things with a Neo-Geo Emu in it so I can just throw my Neo roms into a folder and make the disc playable on my WiiKeyed Wii system. I would really appreciate it. ^^

So I guess there isnt an Neo MVS Emu out for the Gamecube? This whould be sad considering the PSP has one and the PSP hardware is inferior to a Gamecube system. Jez I hope someone comes up with one soon!

Apparently its called Neo-Geo Redux.

You can play NeoGeo CD roms on your GC/wii

But I have NO IDEA how the fuck to run it. If you got a layman's explaination, I'd appreciate it.

In lamens terms, it's not a NEO-GEO MVS Emulator, its a Neo-Geo CD Emulator. Its use is for Neo-Geo CDs. You must first obtain a Neo-Geo CD BIOS on the net, then you must purchase the Neo-Geo CDs, and rip the data off of them to a folder on your HDD that has the game name (ie:MetalSlug for Metal Slug). Then create a new folder within the game folder called MP3 and then rip all the music tracks from the cd in MP3 format (44.1 or 48khz stereo @ 128kbps) and name the tracks as they are on the CD, (If its track 2 on the CD then name the file track02.mp3 and so forth for the rest). Put the NeoCD.bin BIOS in a folder called BIOS. Then run the Emu for that game and choose the folder that has the gamefiles in it to play that game. The music for that game is playedback in MP3 form from the MP3s you made from the disc.

So the files are kinda like this

Redux.dol
BIOS\NeoCD.bin
METALSLUG\gamefiles
METALSLUG\MP3\trackXX.mp3

But the MetalSlug MP3 folder is INSIDE the METALSLUG folder alongside the gamefiles.

So basically for each game you must either buy them off of the net or find a place that has the isos (not here). Good luck. I did this Emulator on the PSP and its cool, but I'd much rather the MVS emulator.

So I ask again, the PSP has an NEO-GEO MVS Emu why not the Gamecube?

There is a neo geo emulator working on GC.Linux, but it does not support the wii yet. http://www.tehskeen.com/forums/showt...7084#post17084

Its ok, personally since I own every NeoCD game (purchased from Neo-Geo.com and other places) and the real Neo-Geo CDZ and Ive played them to death since 1994/95, Ive gotten all the fun from that system that I can get outta it. I personally just use the AES/MVS carts now as there is a ton more games to play on it and the cd games feel too much like ports to me. The NeoCD Emu is a nice start for the Wii, but it really needs to play MVS cart games to enjoy the NeoGeo to its fullest.

BTW I wouldnt consider CD games ROMs. Even though the word "CD-Rom" can confuse you, ROM dumps are from games with chips in them. CD Dumps are just CD Dumps or ISOs. Although since CD-Rom has that name I suppose you can call them ROMs
