yeah, so i found out how to use mfe on my wii, and now i can watch one piece on it lol......
ok. but won't this eventually kill the dvd drive/laser whatever faster, since it is reading the disc ALL the time, unlike a game, where it reads bits now and then (i heard).
sine i saw some guy post that he wrecked his ps2 by watching too many dvd's on it.. so i'm just wondering.
i would do that, but isn't that showing them that i have voided the warranty? (i have already with my wiikey... but i don't want them to know that..)
is their any way you could tell if a wii was opened/modchipped and removed, since their is no sticker or something which says 'remove this and your warranty is voided', so if my wii "broke" could i just send it to nintendo?

on a side note. a xbox original will do 1080i output with xbox media center.. and the emulators work ALOT better..
just imagine once we get wii homebrew.. I wont hold my breath.. the 360 only just get homebrew code running... damm encryption...

thanks lol.
As of now, Nintendo doesnt care if the warranty has been voided. Just tell the guy on the phone or email a made up story. In the case that the DVD drive fails, just say that you play the wii almost 24/7 and they will understand why the disc drive will die out (lol) and give you a replacement or repair.
However, nintendo may one day decide they will reject wii's that have been opened, so make sure you check before sending the wii in.
No, it is soldered. I'm sure they notice the difference in the solder points, but they arent getting on people's cases because it was tampered with. Maybe the N is lazy? They probably just refurbish it. They arent losing money anyway.

I also dont think its worth wearing your laser out on watching videos,
thats what xboxs, pc's and divx players are for!
and on the nintendo returns thing......you know it will die one week after your warantee expires!
plus I would be cautious on sending a once modded machine back to nintendo with my address attatched to it!
call me paranoid
