Thumbs up led bars for people with projector screens

lo guys, thought this info may help the folks with projectors..

ive got my wii on the opposite side of the room to my projector screen so i needed an led bar solution, well i already had an lcd top gun on my mame cab that uses led bars in the same way that the wii does, these things basically run on 5 volts from a usb port.

anyway i baught a wii and simply plugged the led bar into my pc and taped it to the bottom of my screen and it worked like a charm, i also plugged it into the usb port on my wii and it worked that way aswell so if your wii is next to your projector screen/tv then these are a good "upgrade" for the exsisting led bar as the range is alot better.

Also the led bar already comes with a voltage adapter socket so all you need to do is grab a 5 volt adapter with the correct socket on it and plug it in , the other good news is you dont have to buy the lcd top gun pack to get the bars as the led bars are also sold seperatley on play asia.

replace xxx with www as i dont have 15 posts
hope this helps..

Alc..

I am thinking of integrating a sensor bar into my tv, so it is very discreet.
will 4 of these emitters and this switch work? I will use a 9v battery to power it. What kind of resistor would I need?

do I need 2 ir led's at each end, or will one per side of the TV work?

I have posted this in another thread (seemed more relevant) please delete this if you want.
