did the exact same thing. I might add a switch to use usb power when on my computer and batteries if I use it with a projector.

Wireless sensor bar... what's the point?

There is a sensor bar stand that came with the Wii, just stick that on the TV and put the sensor bar on it. When you need to use another TV or monitor, just take the sensor bar with you.

If you have a projector then a wireless sensor bar works better.

the stock sensor bar. the thing has like a 20foot cord so theres no reason not to use it. i dont think anyone really keeps their amp that far from the tv. if so, just plug the wii into the tv lol..

wireless sensor bars are nonsense and just a fad

the only valid reason ive seen someone make a wireless sensor bar so far is the dudes who set up their wii in a theatre.
I've seen *plenty* of people with HC setups that need a longer cord/wireless alternative, me included.

Just because you don't need one, doesn't make them "nonsense" or "a fad"

To have the bar further away than the cable permits, or have a tidier wirefree solution, I guess?????

If you want to see the IR leds, turn on your Wii, then point your cellphone camera towards the sensor bar. Hey they light up

I am thinking of integrating a sensor bar into my tv, so it is very discreet.
will 4 of these emitters and this switch work? I will use a 9v battery to power it. What kind of resistor would I need?

do I need 2 ir led's at each end, or will one per side of the TV work?
