Hi,

I really hope there's someone here that can help me, cause my wife is going to murder me unless I fix her Wii.

I recently installed a DriveKey, following all the steps of the official and unofficial tutorials I came across, but had a bad outcome. As a result the Wii won't boot when I reconnect the DVD, not even when I remove the DriveKey.

The only thing that happens when I press the power button is that the red light switches to green, and the DVD-tray lightens up for a split second. After that the Wii is completely dead until I disconnect and reconnect the power cable.

When I remove the power cable to the DVD, the Wii boots fine (although I'm not sure if there is anything on the display output).

Did I somehow brick the Wii? I've insulated the chip, so there should be nothing short circuiting inside the console.
