What is this 3.3e firmware?

I've been reading a lot of people after they updated to the 3.3e firmware, their modded Wii's stopped working. This was caused by Mario Kart, is there any truth to that because I don't want to brick my brand new Wii + the money cost to have someone mod it.

There is no truth to it at all. Only thing 3.3 will stop is trucha signed games. It doesnt stop chips working.

My 3.3e wii is working fine using YAOSM and playing mario kart almost daily

That means if I play from another region Mario Kart PAL WII-MOMENT it won't brick my Wii?

no it will not brick as long as the update partition is removed. Run the iso through brick block or wiu 1.1
