Plus or Minus

Just a quick question, is there a preference for what media to use for creating backups?
I've heard Verbatim is the way to go but no one has mentioned whether to use plus or minus dvd's.
My writer only does minus dvd's on single layer so I'am hopiong that will work.

From everything I have read and tried with media the -R seams to work the best for me

i've had 100% luck with HP dvd-r using imgburn at 2x
