I have a PAL wii, running 3.2e currently... I've done some searching on this and other forums but haven't been able to come up with a solid answer!
I use an RGB scart cable, but have to switch back to the crappy composite bundled cable when I play NTSC games...... it's such a drop in quality that it's really starting to annoy me now
has anyone found a fix or a way around this yet? I remember my PS2 had a similar thing, green instead of red iirc, but it was fixed by installing an extra wire on the board. Anything similar for Wii yet?
What about changing the region of the game? I've not tried any of the apps that do this - if I changed an NTSC game to PAL would it output ok via RGB?
What about changing the region of my Wii?
I presume that won't do anything to help, as I'm sure I've read that the video output is controlled by the game as the hardware is the same in all regions.
I've read that using Component can help, but unfortunately I still have an old 28" WS CRT with no Component in - I know it sounds stupid but I'm getting to the point where I might splash £300 on an LCD TV to fix the problem(!) so can anyone confirm this works ok?
It's a shame US never went down the RGB Scart route, or I guess I wouldn't have the problem ;-)
