Default disk not spinning

Hi,

Have a dilemma here. I have a D2B cut pin wii, installed a wiikey modchip on it. been working fine.. suddenly one day it stopped working. opened it up, and found the disk isn't spinning. First thing I did was removed the wiikey, still same result. cleaned the lens, still not spinning. some people suggested that the lens is bad, so I was getting ready to order a laser lens. A friend of mine was planning to mod his wii so we opened his up and to test the bad lens theory I thought of swapping the dvd drive. So I opened my wii removed the dvd drive and removed the dvd board from it. just swapped the dvd drive without the board to test. looks like it's my board that's causing it. my drive with his board works fine, but my board and his drive combination isn't spinning the disk.

Can anyone tell me what might be causing this issue? After the disk is inserted I hear a click.. sounds like it tries to spin but something is stuck. I don't think that's the case.. Pleas share your knowledge and help me resolve this crazy thing here.

Much appreciated.
