new wii

ok peeps, just got a brand new wii dropped of l8 lastnight as a friend wants it modded

its been a while since i did any and i used the yaosm 12f629 chips which i programmed myself

now the serial number on this one begins with leh1942*****

which i cant find any info on at present so i was wondering if anyone has done one of these yet

also is it possible the chipset is the GC2 - D1A type and if so what chips do this version

any help is appreciated and when i get back in later today ill open it up to check but i was hoping to save doing it just on the chance anyone has done this version

I think it's a D2C chip, YAOSM won't work for it

just opened it and the smaller chip says its a d2c so is the wassabi my best bet

When did your friend get the wii? I'd go with either the wiizard mod, d2pro9 or (if it's old enough) the d2ckey.

only bought it monday and im looking at the argon chip 9 wire install

i'd recommend the wiizard mod and d2pro9 over the argon, is the system PAL? i think thats only region that the 9 wire argon firmware works with (someone please correct me if I'm wrong).
