Under a rock for a few months... Is there a consensus how to ID D2C2?
Let's pretend my girlfriend demanded I get all my "Wii crap" off her Dining Room table and move it to the basement. And then it took 2 months for my lazy ass to clean up enough to setup down there... Ok, so maybe it's not pretend...
Anyway, I find myself a bit confused on what exactly makes a D2C2 chipset?(and DAMN Ninty for not obliging us and continuing the lovely pattern of clearly marking the chip for us).
From what I've absorbed, is it fair to say that D2C's with 2 lines of text are NEVER D2C2, and those with only 1 line of text SOMETIMES are??
And I'm sure someone will tell me to just put the modchip in and find out, but I've got more than a dozen D2CKey's here and only 2 D2Pro9's, so I'd rather not jump through that many hoops?
Look at the board so you can read "D2C" then look to the left a little bit and up a little bit (above the cut out in the middle of the PCB), check to see if it says AMX in yellow highlight
if you dont already have a chip then just make sure you buy one that is compatible Most modstores are already carrying the D2E solutions which includes d2c/d2c2
