I have no idea what you're doing right now...lol

Look, your "file" should be a *.ISO file, look at the end of the file, the filename extension should be .ISO If so, just select the ISO and burn it.

If it's not an ISO, then I guess choose the option to make it an image (ISO), I'm at work right now so I can't really physically do it myself, otherwise I would.

And no, it doesn't matter which version of IMGburn you use, you can use any burning program really, IMGburn, Nero, Alcohol, etc etc, I just prefer IMGburn.

haha.... ok, let me start from the beginning....
i've downloaded the Bushing's Semi-brick fixer and the Autoboot Creator. i used the autoboot creator to do the .iso file. checked and it is an .iso file. burnt the file onto a disk. and still get what i've started with on the console.....

Yeah, I'd just set her aside in the closet for awhile, Bushing's working on unbricking so don't toss it yet. If and when he succeeds they'll be a way to bring her back to life later on. (hopefully)

it's very difficult if you have a bricked wii =/
bushing method only works in semi-bricked wii's because,in that case, you can enter to the menu and start a update...

Try power-on the wii with + and - pressed and if you can start in maintence mode, you should be able to format the wii and recovery the menu and stuff

but i don't know if this work in a bricked wii.Bushing himself has declared that the recovery from a brick includes hardware work with a chip that can reflash the NAND memory

Basically mate: You're boned for the moment. If the "A" screen isn't shown, then it won't even read the disc. You gotta wait for bushing to come up with something first.

As of right now there is NO way to unbrick a fully bricked wii. Yes it is in the works. The semibrick fix will not help even if you make an autoboot disc since files are missing in the NAND. I worked with bushing on the semibrick fix and we ended up fully bricking a wii trying to fix a semibrick and now bushing is working on the full brick trying to come up with a way to recover. Some signs of hope are there but nothing as of yet and sure nothing a novice can do as of now.

What about the Infectus? Can you reprogram the Nand with it?

Yeah if you had a full backup of the NAND before you bricked it wich I am willing to bet he did not. Right now there is no way to take a NAND from one Wii and put it in the other due to the way STARLET handles the calls. This is talked about way mor in detail at hackmii.com
