Yet he tried to hide the channel on a different page without thinking that all the channels would be moved to the first page after the downgrade also what is the Custom channel did he say what it was.
I am not saying it isn't just a custom channel but maybe he created an ISO loader and hasn't released it or anything yet.
The downgrade could be very useful if lets say a Custom Firmware to ever be released (not saying it will be but who knows) also to say he doesn't have skill is funny because he obviously has more skill than you and could out code you any day.
I know it talks about a Custom Firmware but I believe its a good thing he showed us how to do this. Also at least someone is releasing Homebrew and such for other people because no one else ever planned to release a wad installer. You fucking morons want to fight about things that don't even matter when truth be told you wouldn't even be able to do what he has done.
frozen-solid, you act like all us noobs are going to just run anything he releases while dangling our power cords over buckets of water. We all know the dangers of bricking, and if you spent as much time writing code (being the god of a software engineer you are) maybe you could have a positive impact on the scene.
seriously i have like 2 posts because i know i dont have that much to contribute because im a novice at this sort of thing, but ive been reading every day for months, and i think you have even less to contribute.
at this point in time yes, but... think about with psp's, what can you do on psp's with custom firmware that u cant on offical firmware. BACKUPS!!! and now with ppl scrubbing the iso, thats making some of them under 2 gigs. next thing we need is someone to create a homebrew that will allow you to boot a wii game off the sd card, or add usb support, connect an external hard drive, and just store all the games on a hdd and use a menu system to boot off that. thus eliminating the drive entirely. with Waninkoko discovery, to me, it seems as though he has the files from the wii's flash. thus meaning that people can work on doing the same as what Dark AleX did for the whole psp scene. use the files from the flash, and modify them the way they need to be modded, so that they can play "backups" without a chip or anything. i see the future of wii modding being where we can customize our wii menus, appearance and sounds and all.... and there will be custom firmware in the future that will allow "backups" to be booted w/out a chip or hardware mod of any kinda.
i for one think this video shows something a few years ahead of its time.
