So we can now physically see if a D2C is unmoddable without having to mod it first, just by looking at the drive spindle?, is this right??

I would remove the picture of the D2C chipset to avoid confusion, even though there is no extra writing below the D2C doesn't mean it's one of the new breed's of D2C's...

I modded a D2C last night with no writing below "D2C" and it booted the Wasabi just fine.

there is no real way to tell, even though the chipset in appearance looks different once modded it might work. for some reason some of them are moddable still, and others arent.

What about the drive spindle differences, it's the first time I've noticed a difference on those...

What about the extra number that's printed under the serial number or what ever it is on the top right of the board? Any pics of these bits?

Hey! This picture is not 100% true. I have a LU568 Wii that i opened it yesterday and the drive magnet looked like the old D2C but had the "GC2-D2C" with no serial on it... Kinda weird.

I think that's what the OP is saying. Some of the one line code D2C's are still moddable. So if you have a one line code D2C, but the spindle still looks like the older model, it should still be moddable.
