I would remove the picture of the D2C chipset to avoid confusion, even though there is no extra writing below the D2C doesn't mean it's one of the new breed's of D2C's...
I modded a D2C last night with no writing below "D2C" and it booted the Wasabi just fine.
Did it have the new metal piece on top?
Is the metal piece mean it's Guaranteed to be currently unmodable?
cuz no writing below the D2C does not Guarantee it be unmodable.
This may be a dumb question but, the new chips/firmware will be compatable with modable and unmodable d2c drives right? My system has jsut teh "d2c" on it but I do not know if it is unmodable or not. So if i get the new coded chips, it will be compatable with old and new d2c boards right? Ty!
i checked it out i i found out that i got the old D2C chipset. any ideas as to what chip i should get preferably on using the wii clip cause my soldering skills are not that impressive. and also where to buy PM me if you like
I purchased 14 wii's approx 5 weeks ago. Some serial started with Lu564 and Lu342. All of these wii's are moddable. I found 2 weeks after I purchased these and serial numbers up and beyond like Lu566 and Lu344 weren't moddable. I Have received the D2pro2's 9 wire install chip for the unmoddable wii's and they worked on all 3 of the unmoddable wii's from customers I installed them on. So it doesn't matter which version you have now, the new D2pro2 works on all of them.
