Smile Luckiest Guy (Wii) Ever!!!

OK i tried to chip my wii myself with wiikey and went wrong in the wii itself would not display on screen, so i took wiikey out and then called nintendo uk, to my amazement i got my wii back this morning with no charge for repair even though i have tampered with it also its noticeable as i had to grind for cut leg wow now im happy

am i lucky or what!!!

Lucky, yes... one of my greatest annoyances... bigger yes.

If you can't install it don't do it, I'm surprised nintendo even bothered to help you after your failed attempt at helping them lose out on money.

The guy that fixed it will still get paid, but in all fairness it would be better if it was coming out your pocket not nintendos.

i would not have minded paying also the fault was not of mine but the wii itself so not my fault it broke so ive now put wiikey back in and all fine now no probs

hows that then they even replaced the dvd drive with a new one with cut legs still but a d2b seems strange as that was not at fault i would not have mind paying for my damage but hey if it done free why not

I do not recommend sending your fucking up console mods to Nintendo. You can buy replacement Wii drives that is the proper way to do it.

Naturally before you get to that point if your not sure you can do it dont try till you are.

Also a number of installers will fix not too badly fucked up console without extra costs, at least I would before it became illegal and I got out I would assume others where like me

I would fix things like bridged connections and such without extra costs, for total unfixable fuckups I would just buy them a new board and charge them for it at cost. Fixable but fucked up bad enough to cause me a troubles I would charge extra

it wasnt the dvd rom at fault so why did they replace that?

the DVD ROM drive is where Wii modchips get installed, what do you mean?
