Wii Settings

I have a d2pro and did the update with the Mario Kart, everything works fine but when I try to go into the wii settings it brings up a opera browser type thing and I can not go into my settings or set up my internet. Any ideas?

i think you might have semi bricked ur wii.

yep, you have. your console wasn't updated to the latest version and you installed an update from the wrong region. you are out of luck until a newer firmware version comes out on another game, and even then it might not be fixed.

Yea after I posted that I realized I think that was probably the problem. I saw somewhere that if I get SSBB or mariokart usa when it comes out and do the update it should unbrick it. Anyone heard about or can confirm this? Thanks.

I tried ssbb but no dice...I think both have the same update (new updates contain old updates too I'm guessing)

i can confirm this. I had the same error on a pal console.

mario kart wii pal update fixed this.
