should i buy GC controllers or classic controllers?

Recenetly, a SNES emulator came out and I've been wanting to try it out but I dont have either the GC or classic controller. Will either work for the emulation-type games?

I pretty sure that only the GC controller will work. You can't go wrong getting a wavebird. I also like the Microcon GC controllers.

classic controllers will not work with GC homebrew. That's why it's called GC homebrew and not Wii homebrew.

you should get both. Get a GC controller for GC games, and for GC homebrew, and get a classic controller for buying real copies of VC games sometimes. You have to give nintendo some money. GC controllers DO NOT work well for SNES games on the Wii virtual console.
