Default wiimote not working after red steel download

Hi,
I have a wiikey installed with has been working a treat for weeks now. also had no problems playing my backup games until......!!!!! Put my backup of Red Steel in my Wii and the loadup screnn appeared. All looked good until the game starts to load. Their was an error meesage saying the signal from my wiimote was not good. Now the wiimote wont respond well, it keeps freezing on me with any game / backup I use. You have to keep pressing the left or right curser to get the "hand" back on the screen. You get bout 10 seconds of normal use then the wiimote freezes again!!! Have I got a virus from the Red steel backup?

Any help would be a great,

Cheers

cheers just swapped batteries and now working!!!! Feel a right plonker not having checked this. The batteries were factory ones but only used a few times (bout 4 hours use since new). Put some durcell ultras in and will monitor the useage. Any ideas on the average play time on a decent set of batteries? Cheers you 2!!!!!!

you could've always pressed the - button to show you the little battery symbol and how much charge was left before posting

Anyway, glad you fixed it

The Wiimotes are battery suckers. I recommend getting rechargables. I have a 15 minute charger.

NiMH batteries aren't much better. Sure they are recharagable, but you have to remove them to do it.

get something like this. http://www.renchi.com/renchi/Wii_Acc...ck_1800mAh.htm

I got mine from ebay, 4 for $46. ask sellers for discount if you're willing to buy 4 at a time.

You just plug them into any USB port, including the USB ports on the wii.

Well, they are alot cheaper, and I can use them in anything I want. Also, you can't use the Wii while you charge ur batteries (with only one wiimote) so the NiMH's will actually suit me better.

Thanks for the tip tho!
