Default Hot system

Anybody notice that while their wii is in standby the system gets a bit hot? I have the wiikey and everything works as far as backups and such took it apart and made sure everything was plugged up. Just wondering if anybody else notice the wii getting hot or can check for me please. I had to cut a piece of the heatsink off because of a screw that was stripped that was connecting a little piece of the heatsink just wondering if that would matter. Any input would be appreciated.

it stays a lil warm,
what you can do is get a radiator for it made by intec, which stays on while in standby, but sometimes annoying, so in my case i added a switch, to turn it off

to fully turn it off without pulling the plug hold the power button for 5 seconds and the LED will turn red ;-)

Well thank god that I'm not the only one, I just get a bit paranoid about these things, because of what I did have to do to get it apart, but M37R01D keep up the good work on those soldering jobs they look excellent. My first soldering job and I had to go to one of the legs on the chip but I got it good.

From my experience with installing it it was really easy as long as you have the right tools, I don't see how some people could brick their wii but idk.

Just give your Wii some room to radiate and convect. A little warmth won't hurt it.

I added some 1/2 inch clear rubber feet to the bottom, as I like to lie my Wii flat. The space created underneath is enough to keep the temp from getting too high. Added the same feet to my 360. Actually helps with vibrations too. Found them at Home Depot.
