Memorex dvd's for burnign backups???

i have burnt some wii games with some memorex dvds 16x, but burned them at lower speed, does anyone else here use memorex dvds for wii games and do they work well?

16x memorex are either prodisc or cmc mag. both suck for wii. good for give aways and movie backups.

I would say if you already have DVD media, give it a try. Just burn at 1x. The backups that I have are 3 TDK's and 1 PLAYO dvd. I did order Yuden's that are on the way, but I at least have working copies for me to play now.

I have some memorex's that are Ritek's and they work fine

they'll degrade, not saying right away but they'll degrade and dres will emerge

I have tried .... Cheap media (optodisc) , Ritek, Ridata, Laser, HP Lighscribe,
Verbatim as I work in wholesale and have access to test them all.

All of them worked perfectly. I personally always keep my origionals\Isos and discs will always get scratched so worrying about if they are going to survive a nuclear winter is not an issue.

Find a media that works for you and use it. I would not panic too much about hunting around for certain brands or ordering online as you are most likely wasting your time. Its not like we are archiving critical data for 100's of years guys. Most of us burn the game play it and move onto something else.

keep telling yourself that. your quest to save $5 will leave you wasting more and more reburning games. plus your laser will have to work more with crapass media

The funny thing is I was using Ty02's and I was getting DRE's, tried these shitty memorex's that where actually Ritek's and no DRES?

Are you sure that they were real Taiyo yudens there lots of counterfeits out there

how can u tell if the memorex dvd u have is riteck or another brand?
