Thought I'd start a thread specifically for Wii hardware/software problems so that its easier to fix the problems once they all start eventually. You may post your specific problem and/or any ideas or methods to fix them.

1) Inserted my gamecube controller to prepare to play Mario 64 and the Wii crashed then rebooted.
2) Inserted Wii sports and clicked to play it and the system blackscreened
* None of these are critical problems, just happened randomly but one thing they have in common is the system had been on for at least over 12 hrs.

The black screen freezing had occasionally happened to me, but not when going to a game. It's mostly when switching between the Mii Channel, Wii Shop Channel, etc.
onward to bugs!
in zelda, when i run up to a climbing vine and hold forwards, i jump onto the vine. then SOMETIMES i will start walking to the left rather than up the vine (since up is being held)
this happens on a frequent enough basis, maybe 10 or 15 times since i started playing (now upto the hidden village)
Another thing that been bothering me is red steel the hand movement is always jerky not like call of duty 3 which i found very smooth

a few levels into call of duty 3 my wiimote started "freezing", meaning it only accepted commands (movement, buttons) in short intervals.. this was annoying since if I was moving it would keep doing that action..
First thought was low bat on the wiimote, but it was a 2/4 (replaced them but problem persisted) so I just ran past the area into a house and it worked fine again.. seemed to only be in a specific area
So far its just red steel out of all the games that I have (5) that doesn't like the wiimote at all, and its not just every other time its practically all the time, so unless other people dont have this problem then Im going to stick with that its some software bug

when talking about red steel, are you saying the hand movement (as in graphics, the in-game hand) or your hand's control? Finished Red Steel without any major controller problems (crosshair (dot?) was a bit jumpy sometimes)
when it was "jumping" alot once, I turned off my xbox (which is right next to the wii, right under the tv and the sensor-bar thingie) it felt like it got better.. could the led's in the xbox be interfering somehow or was I just drunk? :S

O never thought of that, I have a dvd player, xbox, and 4 ps2, and a pc all around my wii, maybe if I isolate my wii it will stop
