jut a suggestion to those tha think thier lights from other consoles or pc's etc.. might be changing thier wii game experience (if i could say it that way) put your digital camera over the left and right sides of your sensor bar one of the 8 leds may not be working (4 small leds and 4 big ones)!!!

in zelda, when i run up to a climbing vine and hold forwards, i jump onto the vine. then SOMETIMES i will start walking to the left rather than up the vine (since up is being held)

this happens on a frequent enough basis, maybe 10 or 15 times since i started playing (now upto the hidden village)
i had the same problem i thought it was me but it must not have been me. maybe you don't realise that you are moving the nunchucks joystick

Yet another problem happened to me again with Red Steel, Turned on my Wii as usual and popped in Red Steel and it loaded alot slower than normal and my Wii drive sounded like the laser was moving up and down the drive rails really fast and it did this into the game and finally it gave me a black screen with their "disc error" message of removing the disc and pressing reset yadayada... So I reset the console and popped it back in and the game ran like normal. Hasn't happen since.

I know the Wii isn't ever technically turned off unless you pull the power but it does sound strange if lets say your Wii has the red LED on and the fan part is extremly hot espically if its been off for hours then I'd say you might have a problem. The Wii in general gets pretty hot.

if you have that wiiconnect24 on it can overheat teh system. some people have fried their units inside from having it on standby for so long. i have mine turned off on standby unless i plan to use it. but the actual connect24 is set to on.

i just got my unit last week, and all is well here, no funky remotes and no issues yet. *knocks on wood* the controller does seem kinda wacko sometimes though when playing wii sports, like the hand is shaking all over the place.

My bro's Wii wouldn't read discs, how's that for a hardware problem ;-)

Nintendo is shipping him a new unit. Boo defects.

Got strange graphic issues in Rayman Raving Rabbids. All other games are working fine. Has anyone got some experiences with that problem? Btw I got the Cyclo Wiz installed and Iam wondering why this is happening. Maybe some issue with my Wii System files?

I noticed that too. Nothing should be that hot in standby mode, so I took some readings:
WiiConnect Off & Standby Off: ~1 watt
WiiConnect On & Standby Off: ~1 watt
WiiConnect On & Standby On: 9 watts
System idle: 16 watts
System under load: 17-19 watts

I had this happen too. I had to monkey with it for about 15 minutes before it started working again. It seemed like power-cycling both the wiimote and the system and re-pairing the mote is what did the trick for me.

got 3 isues just today! i've had my wii chipped with a wiikey, haven't done it myself tho...

1: it's having a hard time reading backups (verbatim dvd+r 16x burned @ 4x), but this can be helped by switching the drive speed with the wiikey setup disc, from 6x to 3x.

2: HOWEVER, next time i put the setup disc in, the settings were back to default, and YES i did save and reset in the menu... is this normal???

3: in everybody votes channel, the remaining time on the polls are like 60+ days??? checked the date, but it is as it should be...?

wtf's up with all this?

little help anyone?
