Default Wii backups

Hi,

Im pretty new to all this backing up wii iso's but have recently tried to burn x 2 games for my wii with no luck. My wii is runing on a wasabi v1 soildered chip bought back in april 2008, and i have updated its firmware to 3.0 . The 2 games im tring to burn is Just Dance and Spongbob blobs of gloom. I Have burnet them with imgburn at x2.4 speed on a dvd-r and have only managed to get spongebob working for about 10min then i get a black screen telling me disk cant be read. do i have to do something to the iso,s before i burn them? if so what?

Thanks for any help that can be given.

1) 2.4X should only be really used/needed for burning dual layer games, not single layer such as these
2) Most likely cause is your media. Get better quality discs. - More expensive in a supermarket does NOT mean better quality. I use ritek G05, never once had a coaster and been using em years for all sorts. I buy em off ebay, if you buy discs at the mo from the high street, you'll most likely save money going for that option

Hi Thanks for the reply,

I Have also tried 3x and 4x, but with no luck and have been using datawrite disk in the past just to copy disks with hardle no problems, is it possible these games need a fix or do you think it might be down to the chip?

Somebody else was asking about Just Dance so it could be that BCA protection has been now rolled out for newer games.

Are these games new by any chance? I'll do a quick bit of research a min

Right have researched the games.

They have been out about as long as new super mario and do not use BCA data. So in that case they are standard just like all the other wii iso's out there.

If you are having problems it could possibly be your image (make sure you are using your own region for one).
But likelihood is the discs

Thanks for the info, i have just tried one more (new super mario bros) and the game works for 15mins again then the messeage comes up saying game cant be read. Very weired that it works well for the same amount of time then stops playing. I Have ordered ritek G05 disks as roy has sugested and will give them ago. I Have just check my wii system firware as well and it says its version 3.4e does this matter?

New super mario probably will give you errors, that could be down to the newer protection used on it, but its the only game to date you potentialy should have issues with at the moment, its fixable easily enough but that will prob be your issue on that one
