Question Wasabi V3, wii-clip V5B on D2C2

Hey,

I got a "soliderless" wii-clip from canadamods.ca and all I get is a red light, no drive spin at all. Canadamods are being real dinks and there customer support sucks. I would love to be able to get this thing working as it's for my newphew. No legs on the clip or the wii are bent, F on the clip is already soildered to Q on the clip. When F isn't soildered to Q I do get a green light and can play originals but not back ups. I've tried this chip on a D2E and a D2C2 and it doesn't work on either and has the same results on both systems.

Any idea's?

Did you bridge the correct jumper to make the chip aware of the drive type?

if your still having issues with the clip, try to see if the clip is sitting on the controller chip correctly makes sure it's sitting even all around, also do a test by trying to put mininal pressure on the clip while trying to boot a back up game from menu

hope that helps

I think I might just take it off the clip and do it the ol fashioned way cause that will tell me pretty quick if it's the clip or not. I'm just really pi$$ed that I got a half baked product for $106 bucks. :X

Well the way canadamods site chalks it up you would think it's the second coming of Christ but alas you are correct and I learned this the very hard way threw purchase. I wouldn't have cared so much if it wasn't for the fact that I got this for my 8 year old newphew.

when you uninstall the clip from the chip go to the nearest bin and throw that clip away
