Default D2e Problem

I just installed a Wasabi v3 with the d2c2compatible sticker on the back on to a D2E drive flashed the firmware with the 1.2 BETA disc.

My problem is when i first boot everthing seems to be working ok light turns red for a second and turns green and stays green regognizes all my backup disk..but when i turn off the cosole and turn it back on there is no power to the drive.

At first i thought my drive was dead, but when i unplugged it and plugged it back in, it worked again..but this does not work all the time.

Sometimes it will work sometimes not.. the light still turns red and green like normal but does not suck in the disk...Everything seems to be working fine until i updated the firmware...Is there anything i can do.

Do you have standby connection turned on? Maybe changing this will be an OK workaround for now.

Weird problem. I recently asked support team of Wasabi whether downloadable 1.2 BETA firmware is the same as the one which is preprogrammed on Wasabi v3. They told me it is exactly the same.

Did you try to reflash it again ? I don't think it will help but you never know.

Some wiis just need to be power cycled to get working. It happens to all the modchips we have used, not just the Wasabi

In my case even when i power cycled it still wont work.

Its like the drive is dead..It wont accept any disk or do anything, but the light stays green on the wasabi.

well, here is my experience when that happens with wasabi:

turn it off by unplugging power, replug power, turn it on, try to insert the disc

repeat till it works

(you should even be able to hear the drive click, then spin up / if you don't hear this, then you have problems)

I shouldn't have to go thru the hassle of unplugging power, replug power evertime i want to play a game.

Like i said it only work somtimes like 1 out of 8 tries...The rest of the time it wont accept any disc at all.

I also notice that if i turn power on and off like 6 or 10 times the green stays solid and the red light on the wasabi starts to blink...kind of weird i have no glue whats wrong with it.
