Default [Video] Wasabi works on D2e!

3 videos, the rest coming in a sec.

video 1 - Wasabi not working on d2e

video 2 - Using a d2b drive with wasabi installed to upgrade the firmware on the modchip. This video is long, blurry, and a bit boring. I have a shit camera, sorry!

Video 3 - took the wasabi off the d2b drive, and back on the d2e, boots like a dream!

and here is a picture with d2e, and a green light on the wasabi - http://www.ozmodchipsfaq.com/ozmodfi...i/DSC01718.JPG

Tada!

Default wasabi 2 that is

Just want to point out that the chip showed in the video is wasabi 2 not 1. I personally don't think that they will ever release any update for their first chip but I would to have them proved me wrong

if you would read the news on the site they already announced the update for the old wasabis. just it propably wont have d2c2 or d2e support (which end users dont need to care about).

*sigh* but i think this is far off topic here.

Would you care to provide a link? I do check their news but there is absolutely no mention of updating the old wasabi that can see. The only update I see is for wasabi 2 to work with Korean Wii.

Read that notice again.... It says old Wasabi will take the Korean update, and be Korean wii compatible - but most Korean wiis have d2c2, so it won't work on most of them.

"Korean users can find a new DVD upgrade in the Downloads section. Thanks to this update, all revisions of Wasabi now support Korea Wii Region, but because the vast majority of them use a D2C2 drive we suggest Korean users to get a D2C2 compatible chip (as shown below)."

It also says...
"We're still working on an upgrade for all regions with cool new features, we'll have more info soon, stay tuned!"

Well guys, one other thing; Wasabi team is shipping old PCB's at the moment (Wasabi v1) with D2C2 firmware and sell them as Wasabi v2. But what really sucks is that with the old PCB layout the CLK and EJECT issues are back again . It's similar to the D2Pro v2 issues. Very bad move from Wasabi Team.

You sure make an effort to post this in every Wasabi topic, don't you?

Not to mention you're the only person posting this.

As said in another topic, should wait for a real reseller (like the ones who visit this forum) to confirm that.

Sounds like bullshit to me.
