You mean ... because it does "NOT" run directly to the D2C IC.

There's no equivalent of the "F" point in the D2C chip I suppose, so the need of a wire for that point.

Anyway if I was the Wii-Clip maker I would run a via and put a solder point in the PCB much closer to the "F" point ... there's NO "F" wire lengh issue as far as i know

I would not even think about soldering anything to the D2C chip if I was goig to use that clip. We still have to wait and see how solid will these clips (all versions) remains with time ... drive vibration, heat and temperature changes inside the closed console, etc...

I'll try it, but I will still be using some silicon paste around the clip and the drive board - this will help the clip remains in place for sure.

The lengh of CLK wire is not the solution to anything ... it's just an uggly workaround that works (not allways !) ... that's all - Wasabi will have to fix this issue very soon or sales will drop in a way that I doubt they'll be able to remain in the market.

Would be very suprised if they didnt fix the clk problem soon, only seen that problem on two drives so far and both fixed and runing perfect with the long wire. Cant be very hard to fix for the Wasabi Team.

Anyway I thought I saw a alternative F point on the D2C but I guess I understand the picture wrong.
