Default Anybody here know about how to get free digital cable?

I'm on a quest to find a way to get me some cable TV, gratis. I had a box back in the day, and could get pay channels, and PPV. Cable companies moved all those channels to digital years back, and back then there wasn't a way to access them with the old analog boxes.

Does anybody know if there has been any advances in the cable scene? Has anybody come up with a way to get the digital channels?

If you can't post here, PM me

As of now there really is no such way since the majority of the digital boxes have a built in modem to talk with the service provider. Your best bet for free tv would to be either one of two option Dish Network and hac the Rom10X card or FTA.

T.V. hacking has gone Satelite now, Getting a Dreambox is a good option but you will need the following:

Equipment Dish & Box (Size of dish depends on area you want tv from)

Internet connection: Scrambled channels are decoded via a server connected to a legitimate bix & card

Someone that can supply you with the server info, normally a cheap fee is payable (Most satelite stores have a back room) but if you look hard you can probably find people offering them for free on the net...

Your other option is the P2P stuff, great for sport, just download a couple of programs open the links on the p2p sites and connect your p.c. to your T.V. I am pretty sure I watch more Premiership Matches than anyone with a subscription service as different matches come from all over the world...

Companies like Viewsat, Sonicview, Conaxsat, and others make FTA boxes that can be flashed with 3rd party firmware that allow you to decrypt satellite signals as well. Depending on what sats you're pointed at, you can get all of the D!sh Network or B3llVu (Canada) channels.

The Dreambox DrunkenNinja's refers to uses IKS (Internet Key Sharing) which many consider very dangerous, since your IP is available for anyone who wants to see it. The boxes I mentioned do not require being hooked to the internet but require frequent firmware updates.

I think I'm most interested in the P2P stuff. I am familliar with P2P, I use Azureus, along with Peer Guardian, and I haven't had any security issues yet, downloading various files on torrents on both public and private trackers.

What software do I need to get the streaming T.V. stuff?

PM sent with more info on P2P...

Using any kind of Warez downloads from P2P or File hosting servers when using a strict ISP or in a country with strict piracy laws is never recommended, sorry if i assumed you knew this already...
