YEAH thats true about wiikey ver1 i got 1 of them and my brother update the wii with 4.2 and now i cant play my import of tatsunoko vs capcom and a few otes japanese games i have but every ntsc game works perfect

If you want to buy a new Wii, buy one that has the Wii Sports with it. That is an old bundle pack and will be shipped without 4.2 update. New bundles that will be out soon that are shipped with Sports Resort and motion plus will be shipped with 4.2.

I am not worried about new update, "where there's a hack there's a way".

Read on another forum someone is almost fixed update to work. Something to do with HAXX file.

only own regio backups works.

maybe they have made a check to see what regio the game is from.

maybe they push the 4.2 update only on the new price drop wii's this wii's can not even boot backups (d3-2 with nand changes) with flat mods

NTSC-USA works perfectly but japanese back-ups dont boot with my wiikey 1.

Could you specify which FW version you have for your Wiikey? (1.9g, 1.9s)

If anyone tries to use regionfrii to change the game's region, it wont work either, already tried to do it with Tatsunoko Vs Capcom and Naruto: Gekitou Ninja Taisen EX3.

Thanks for the info. Could you try using GeckoOS 1.9.2 and see if that works?

Edit. Also, if possible, you could try using the Wiikey config disk and re-enabling the Region Free option.

Donsn´t think its the modchip that is the problem. We may need a new updated version of the Regionfrii app from Syndicate ?
