The idea was born from a car AUDI A5! Yes from GERMAN AUDI car! : D
You wonder how a car has helped t develop WODE?
The answer is the Jukebox Function of the Audi A5! Jukebox with 10 GB of memory for music files"
The system of Audi MMI Navigation Plus allows you to insert a CD and transfer any audio to HDD, preserving the original audio CD and reading the content instead copied on Hard Disk without further problems.
We wondered if AUDI distributes its own MMI system which allows you to copy any audio disc onto HDD Why can’t we do the same with WII?
The response has been WODE.
WODE is legal, allows you to take the most of your playground without BYPASSING DRM PROTECTION, it emulates in every way a DVD player including the DRM function which is not being bypassed in anyway!
Unlike VIDEOGAMES WODE behaves differently, WODE is a bridge interface between the data bus for WII DVD DRIVE and LINUX nothing more.

This is a joke, $115.00 for a USB loader
waninkoko USB loader priceless $0.00
yeah there are things that money can't buy for everything else, there is Master card.
the only "extra" I see on this is it can load GC games. aside from that you are better off with waninkoko's USB loader, the interface on that little screen is a joke, imagine you have 100 games, and you want to play game 64, you have to keep pressing the little button untill you reach the game you want, when you get there your eyes are red watery, your fingers hurt, so you missed the game and have to go through the whole list again, it also looks ugly. And the price $115.00,LOL, I would buy one for $5.00 for my GC games and use waninkoko's USB loder for my wii games.

$100/$115 USD for this is a joke.
I'm a owner of a FlatMii, and I no longer use it due to the USBloader, no way I will pay that much for that, but that's only me

This works much better than any software usb loader. WODE actually emulates the drive. Also, Waninkoko is no longer going to be updating usb loader and will be releasing apps for WODE instead.

considering that the 4.2 firmware blocks all your stuff from working, its not a joke, its a very good price for a hardware that Nintendo won't block
tim eto start using your flatmii again

Great idea but......
I will stick with my configurable usb loader (with 500gb hd), which is in my opinion far better than USB loader gx or in fact any other usb loader.
I just don't like the idea of having to attach things to the Wii inners, more parts added more things that can go wrong.
As for worrying about updating to 4.1 or 4.2, why would you update? I am still on 3.2 and never have any problems with any games. I also use WiiUR to extract update from ISO files, so I never get an update request.

what happens if a new game needs a new update?
super mario galaxy 2, for example?

On a brand new D3-2 that can not be modded any other way. OK, this is a nice solution and whilst still expensive, the benefits do outweigh the cons for D3-2's.
For ANY other drive/board combo this is simply a waste, maybe if eventually cool enough things can be done with it then perhaps.
But at this present time, for anything bar D3-2 I would still much rather use a USB loader.
And as for 4.2, As said, no need to update. If future games require it then fair enough, a bridge to be crossed when come to.
But £70 for this? Other than D3-2 I really don't see any point.

I have mixed fealings about this. You know, I have two wiis, one for my office, one for my living room. My kids and family play living room one, and I always worry they will update that one. I might just buy a wode for one of them to test, and if it works well, I will buy a second.
