I've tested it with an older Western Digital 250gb USB drive that isn't powered and it worked fine.

Sorry for being persistant.. but i'm having some errors.
I've installed cIOS usb2 beta 3, and then cIOS rev9.
When I launch USB Loader with my USB flashdrive plugged, I got an error.
"Could not initialize USB Subsystem".
What it could be?

You don't need cIOS usb2 beta 3. Only cIOS rev9 is required. Try the other usb port and see if that does anything. If not, try another hard drive or usb drive. I used a micro sd card and an adapter when my sandisk 1gb cruzer wouldn't work.

Works?

Thanks.
That sure is expensive pczaomolina, I actually purchased a 500 gig hard Barracuda for around 54 bucks last week (with e-coupons), and got a cheap external case for it. Here:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822148288

You'll get twice the storage space than that other for a less price.

(EDIT: BTW, are ISO's loaded on the root of the drive or do we need to create a specific folder? Any word on if it's only FAT32 or NTFS?)

Yeah... I think the best option is to buy a Sata HDD and a external case to it.

About the error in USB Loader, it's my old Kingston DataTraveler... I've plugged my cellphone in USB Storage mode, and Wii recognized it (and show that no WBFS partition is available).
Seems like MplayerCE don't like my Kingston too...

I'm afraid about buying a HDD that don't work too...

I've got an extra My Book WD 500 Gig powered external hard drive, I'll test it out tonite and report back if I get around to it, maybe a confirmed working hard drive thread is in order....

Jeff, try re-formatting it with SwissKnife, it's a great program for those of us who mess around with SonicView satellite box's that try to get our PVR function to work, here's the link to download the formatting software:

thanks. Can I just do one of the partitions, or does it require the whole thing? I have ~300 gigs of data that I cannot lose (its all my school stuff, videos, etc.)

Not sure, anytime I've ever used it I've just deleted the whole partition, re-created and reformatted it, it might do it, it's a great program for getting finicky devices to detect external hard drives, might have to google around for an answer to that one though...
